Questions on Stained Glass
Yes, all of our stained glass items are made from hand-cut pieces of real stained glass. In Tiffany style stained glass the cut glass is soldered together using the copper foil method. With this method of tightly wrapping the glass, there is no room for the glass to resonate and sound like you would normally expect when tapping on the surface. Glass like in windows and in glassware is free to resonate with vibrations caused from tapping on it, but in the case of the stained glass copper foil technique, this sound is lost.
Our lamps are packaged, priced, and sold as they appear in their listing. Shades are not individually packaged and can not be sold separately.
These are delicate items and unfortunately accidents can happen. We recommend finding a local artist to perform the repairs. Typically, a local lighting store can be a great resource for recommendations.
The beauty of stained glass is truly experienced when there is a light source behind it. When looking at an unlit piece it may seem dull or darker than expected. Also, when the glass is created this is a hand made process so there will always be slight variations in the characteristics and colors.

Questions on Ceiling Fans
Please follow these troubleshooting steps to correct the source of the noise:
o Ensure all screws are tightened securely, as even small vibrations of the fan movement may cause minor rattling of screws and metal . If you purchased a fan with light bulbs around the motor housing, ensure the small metal lids to install the bulbs are securely assembled (see assembly instructions figures).
o Verify that all hanging décor like crystals or similar are in place. It is possible that few hanging décor pieces have become loose during the shipping process.
o It is possible that a small grinding noise manifests itself during the first few minutes of the fan operation, let the ceiling fan run at medium speed for about fifteen minutes to see if the noise diminishes.
o Ensure the bulbs you have installed are not rubbing against the motor that propels the fan. The fan was designed to function with the recommended bulbs, if you use a larger bulb it is very likely to rub against the motor causing a grinding noise.
The light output will depend on the bulbs that you install in your new fan. Please follow the recommended usage and do not exceed the recommended wattage. In general, our ceiling fans are not designed as a sole source of light for a medium to large size room.
Please check the listing for any questions about the length of the included down rod(s). River of Goods ceiling fans use standard 1/2” down rod (0.875” actual outer diameter) with pin installation.
The included hardware can be mounted to a vaulted ceiling, provided the ceiling angle is no grater than 25 degrees. If you wish to mount the fan at an angle that is greater than 25 degrees, we recommend purchasing universal that will accommodate the needed angle. We do not currently carry anything that will accommodate any angle greater than 25 degrees.

River of Goods ceiling fans include blades that are reversible allowing for two blade color options. Our ceiling fans are designed and tested to be used with the included blades (dimensions, weight, and assembly holes can vary). We do not recommend using an alternate blade because of these factors.
Ceiling Fan Remote Control paring process. Codes are set by pushing Dip switches up or down. It is imperative that the code used for both transmitter and receiver is the same, otherwise the remote controller will not work. Please note the code switch will enable you to operate a second remote controller independently. For example, if you have two ceiling fans with 2 remote control units, set 2 different codes for each set of transmitter/receivers. This means you can operate each ceiling fan independently.
Yes, with the use of standard incandescent bulbs.
Yes, please keep in mind that this may affect the use of the dimmer function. Not all LED and CFL bulbs are compatible with standard dimming functions.
Only a ceiling fan approved wall switch may be used with our ceiling fans.
You can purchase a replacement through our site. You can purchase a universal remote. Please note: if you are purchasing a universal remote, we recommend ensuring you check that there is sufficient space above the canopy for the receiver to be installed. If you are unable to order from our site, pleae visit our Parts page on Amazon.
Please check to make sure the recommended bulb wattage has not been exceeded. Our double lit fans are equipped with a safety feature that causes the lights to flash; this is to warn you that you have exceeded the recommended wattage. If the wattage is correct, please check that the lights have not been unintentionally dimmed by pressing and holding down the light control on your remote. Please hold the button down until the light is as bright as it will go. If you are using LED or CFL bulbs and they are not compatible with a dimming function they will flicker.
